Why I Create Art for Kids

Why I Create Art for Kids

Life has a funny way of guiding us toward the things we’re meant to do. For me, it started with the wonderful clients I’ve met along my journey, people who began asking me to create art for their children.

At first, I didn’t think much of it. I simply said “yes” and started working. But without even realizing it, these requests opened a whole new world to me, one filled with joy, playfulness, and the magic of childhood.

I’ve always loved children. Their curiosity, their laughter, and their ability to find wonder in the smallest things have always inspired me. I’ve had the privilege of working with kids before, and being a mom myself has deepened my connection to them in ways I never could have imagined. There’s a kind of honesty and openness in the way children see the world, and it’s a perspective I try to capture in my art.

Over time, more and more projects for children and families began finding me. Sometimes it was a nursery painting for an expectant family. Sometimes it was a playful painting for a child’s bedroom. And sometimes, it was something as simple and sweet as this little bear, Bruno, holding a bunch of daisies as if to say, “The world is a gentle place."

I never set out to specialize in art for children, but with each piece I created, I discovered the extraordinary beauty and meaning in making something that becomes part of a child’s world. These paintings aren’t just decorations; they can become treasured memories, safe spaces, and everyday sparks of joy. To be part of that magic, to know that my work can bring comfort and delight to little hearts, is a true blessing and a joy I carry with me in every brushstroke.

Whether it’s for a nursery, a birthday gift, or a whimsical family portrait, creating for children fills me with happiness. It reminds me to dream bigger, play more, and always add a little extra love in the details.

What started as unexpected requests has grown into one of the most rewarding parts of my artistic journey, and I can’t wait to see what little worlds I’ll get to create next.
